MAGICK ORCHIDS w/ JOSH CRAMPTON – The East Shall Shake The West Awake

Label: Open-Minded

Catalog# O4OM-0026

Format: CD-R

$5.00 USD

This is an improvised recording of magick orchids with Josh Crampton of the band, Luna Is Honey playing saxophone. the title was a lifted from a line of James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake. The song reverberates with a sample that says something about how “langage is man-made” , the repetitive hooks keeps the song going in some kind of trance driven by an eastern beat. Bleeps and signals keep going in an out of the mix and halfway through the 42-minute track, the saxophone shines in sonic glory as it adds an organic element to all the ungodly electronic sounds. This is definitely not for people with low attention span but if you managed to get through the end of it, you will be glad you did.
